The SunBelt is a simple, yet well engineered collector that generates appropriate annual system performance in the warmest climates, for example the desert Southwest. In our judgment this is one of, if not the, toughest 365 day climates in the world. At a time when many inexperienced solar thermal manufacturers are touting the benefits of high efficiency collectors and absorber coatings regardless of climate conditions, SunEarth’s 32 years of experience in the U.S. marketplace has led us to take a different approach.
In general, system overheating in many parts of the United States is a far more common and potentially damaging problem than under performance. The SunBelt’s many benefits include a lower stagnation temperature than collectors using sputtered ceramet or black chrome absorber plate coatings, prolonged propylene glycol and storage tank life expectancies, and lower initial cost.
SunBelt Series collectors feature an attractive and rugged anodized extrusion, a standard SunEarth all copper absorber coated with water based flat black paint, tempered glass, polyisocyanurate insulation, and standard 3/4? headers.
